Process Outcomes
- The Roundtable has developed a mission statement:
- The mission of the Shared Services Network of Okeechobee County is to provide comprehensive, integrated services for children and families through coordinated leadership, planning, and collaboration involving all segments of the community.
- The facilitator has been a linkage between school sites and community resources, ensuring the delivery of services.
- The project has identified priority needs and concerns.
- Dropout Rate
- Substance Abuse
- Teen Pregnancy
- School Violence
- Ad hoc committees to address each of the four areas have been formed to develop and implement plans addressing these needs. As research and statistical data have been gathered, a lack of sufficient childrens mental health services was discovered.
- There continues to be a focus on identifying gaps in services and policy barriers that may negatively affect the delivery of services for at-risk and exceptional education student and their families.
