After each workday (quarterly) you will need to save a copy of your facilitator log and send your old log to the SSN Resource Center. Follow these instructions to save a new log and send a copy of your current log: 1. Find the folder named "SSN Facilitator Log Folder." This folder was created when you downloaded and decompressed the Facilitator Log Database. You may have to run "Find File" to locate it. (If you used Winzip to decompress it look in C:\unzipped.)
2. Open the "SSN Facilitator Log Folder." By default inside of the folder there are two files: Master Facilitator's Log and SSN Facilitator Log. SSN Facilitator Log is the application and Master Facilitator Log is the database file (it holds your data). Double-clicking on either file will open the Master Facilitator's Log database. Now open the Master Facilitator's Log database by double-clicking on it.
3. Click on the button that reads "Save a New Database." Unlike the sample database below, your log should contain records.
4. Fill in the Create Copy window.
5. Your SSN Facilitator Log Folder will have a new file called "First Quarter 2001." IMPORTANT- To access your new log file (First quarter 2001) you will have to double-click it. By default double-clicking on the SSN Facilitator Log program will open the old Master Facilitator Log file.
If you need additional help with using the facilitator log database please contact Bill Todd at the Resource Center. |
